Hello,
I've an ongoing regular case in double bench at High Court. Its getting delayed for 4-5 years. My lawyer says I've to wait and there's no way to get it listed for early hearing. There've been a few dates but it always get further dates due to one reason or the other.
I'm feeling tired with all this. Have become heart patient now but don't know how long I've to wait.
Please guide me if there's any way I can get my case listed for an early hearing.
Thanks for your time.

Without knowing the reason of getting the dates when the matTer was taken up for hearing earlier, it is hard to advise.
You can check online the order passed on those dates when the case was taken up by HC earlier.

Thanks to all the answerers.
Ajay Sethi yes. I'm a senior citizen. Whats the procedure for applying for expedited hearing?
Devajyoti Barman The reason for getting dates has been absence of my lawyer or the other party's lawyer mainly.

Dear Author,Your Advocate could make a Request to the Concerned Bench during the Sitting as First Person before hearing could start or as the Last Person when the Hearing Ends and Request for a Slip which he could submit to the office and get early date please.Request your Advocate. It is not a must you should be Senior Citizen Only.Any One can Place the Request. If your Advocate is busy Even his Juniors could do that.

Request your lawyer to submit an application for early hearing of the case citing all personal reasons.
Besides this, in case your lawyer is irregular in attendance, change him.

Dear Mr. JS Singh,
Can you tell
(i) the full Case No. and year (i.e. whether it is a suit, appeal, writ etc and its number and year of filing)
(ii) in which High Court is is pending.
So that, one can visit the website of the high court, look into the daily orders, and then give you a view.
