Hello all, I have pursued my b.com from CMJ university which is in meghalaya. I have done a regular course and not in distance. After I passed out in 2012. University was involved and accused of issuing 434 fake PHD certificates and there was a lot of investigation. Now many students are being the victim especially the Graduation students and noone has done it through distance. I am not able to get a job at this time as almost all of the companies are not accepting CMJ university certificates. I cannot even pursue my higher education as even most of the colleges dont accept CMJ students. I cannot even get my graduation done again as it will take another 3 years to complete my final year. What can i do? if anyone is in Meghalaya(Shillong) then please advice me the status of this University or guide me as to what I can do. I even attended for the student hearing. http://megeducation.gov.in/cmj_student_hearing.html
I read in the newspaper that government is not sure of the students who passed out and who is pursuing their education are genuine are not as the college computers were vandalised.

Please advice what needs to be done

File a writ/PIL petition.

You can not force the employer to accept the degree. Try to complete your M Com from some other University through distance / regular mode.

@Dr. J.c.vashista- sir I have my mark sheets, provisional certificate and migration certificate. Would these be enough to file a PIL? And does it have to be done in meghalaya high court only? Can't the PIL be filed in hyderabad high court? And sir what's the exact process and what's the possible outcome of filing a PIL? And how much will it cost me to file a PIL Or how much it will cost me to follow the entire process? How much time it takes for an outcome to come

Dr. J.C. Vashist and Shri Rajendra Goyal have already advised you appropriately on your real problem. Their brief guidelines are sufficient to initiate any legal action in the interest of your career.

So, a lot of the present questions were quite irrelevant, as for going to the competent court of law, you will have to hire services of the local lawyer, who only can tell you what documents are required, how much will it cost you to file a PIL Or how much it will cost you to follow the entire process? How much time it takes for an outcome.

As rightly advised you may consult a local lawyer and proceed with his help on th subject issue.

points taken. However the last question would be where do i have to file the PIL. my current location is HYDERABAD and the university is in Meghalaya. Can it be done in Hyderabad high court or it has to be done in Meghalaya high court only???
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 12 May 2015
No jurisdiction in Hyderabad, it can be filed only in Shillong in the Megalaya high court.
