As per your profile, you are a student. As per your narration of the problem, you cannot also be a Government employee.

Even if you are an employee, you should thank God that your superior has not initiated any disciplinary action against you for your unauthorised absence or not treated that day as dies-non.

Be rest assured that it will not affect your career. Better be careful in future and only after getting the sanction, proceed on leave, at least so long as the present boss continues in his position.

Represent humbly to your departmental head to debit the leave from your casual leaves and pay the recovered amount.

What do you mean by option holiday?
Is it compensatory off?

Dear Kumar,

I don't think, he has any reply to your query on option holiday. That is why, based on that description I pointed out that he is not an employee.

Respected Shri P S Dhingra,

Sir,

You have appropriately concluded, resolved and closed the query.

Thanks Kumar ji.

I guessed, he does not have any real problem, rather he wanted solution to his academic query that too a wrongly prepred by some 'neem hakeem' teacher with his half baked knowledge about service rules.

1. I appreciate the analysis of expert Sh. PS Dhingra, it is a hypothetical academic query.
2. As rightly observed and pointed out by expert Sh. Kumar Doab, the author has failed to submit reply to the valid question about "option holiday", at least I am not aware about the terminology.
