Hi,
i have filed divorce petition on mental cruelty grounds. Wife has file 125 . Have 2 daughters aged 6 and 3 respectively.Daughters staying with her in our rented flat and i have bought one more flat on rent for myself and staying there .I am ready to take care of daughters but wife and her parents not agreeing for same .
My salary ---- 70k
wife ----------60k
my queries
1. is wife liable for maintenance .
2 for children ,what would be the tentative amount court will grand as maintenance.

Since both of you are earning then both you and your wife has contributory liability to maintain the children in equal proportion.
5K each for the child seems reasonable.

Your wife may not be granted maintenance, you may have to pay for your children.
Quantum depend on the merits and facts presented before the court.

Dear Experts ,
i missed out a imprtant query.
wife is planning to go back to her native place.
Is there any chances she can file for alternative residence in future and if yes will i have to provide the same as she is alredy working and earning as good as me.
