My first joining was as a punjab govt teacher 26-11-2001 under pay scale 10300-34800 with grade pay Rs 5000. In July 2012 I joined food supply department punjab under pay scale 10300-34800 with grade pay Rs 4200 through proper channel. While I was in teaching profession my annual increment is in the month of December.
I want to know
What should be the month of increment in food supply I.e. In July or in December. Second after pay fixation what should the grade pay whether rs. 5000 or rs.4200. Third I want to know on which date my seniority has to be counted.

Actually the establishment of both the deptts had been negligent as you were allowed application for a lower post. Joining lower post is not in public interest. You increment appears to be in July.
You are neither entitled to draw earlier grade pay nor pay protection unless the establishment in new deptt continues to be negligent.

26-11-2001? The system of grade pay was not in vogue at that time.

There are more than 40 employees who join food supply through proper channel by taking NOC from teaching department which clearly mentioned that department has no objection to relieve the employee because he is appointed in NEW department through proper channel. We all were hoping that we will get all benefits like grade pay protection, seniority
So we join this new department.
Please guide what should we do now.
Can we revert to teaching .if yes
Whether seniority will be effected in teaching as we have complete about six years in food supply
