Problem related with housing board house

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 26 August 2019 This query is : Resolved
Hello Sir, 19 years ago I bought a house from someone on the housing board. But his installment was due to which I bought that house on bond. For some reason, we could not install the installment for so many years, but now if we pay the installment, can that house be directly in my name or will it be in the name of the person from whom we bought it.

Unless sale deed is obtained by the allottee, no valid title could be obtained.Further, if you remit the dues, it will go to the balance of the allotteeie. the ultimate owner as per allotment.

Where is the property located?
Whether the house was allotted and sold or leased by concerned Housing Board?
Your vendor (seller) is still titleholder, which you are required to get it transferred.
It would be advisable to consult a local prudent lawyer for appreciation of facts/documents, guidance and proceeding.

Yes, title in the property could be transferred only through a registered conveyance deed.

Ji, Housing Board allot the houses on certain terms and conditions. The allottee without paying full payment do not permit to sell the house to third party. so without permission of the Housing Board, it is not advisable to purchase such house.
