Transfer of shares

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 05 May 2010 This query is : Resolved 
I had sent shares for transfer before record date to the companys registrars.Company replied that there is signature mismatch (seller signature) and the bonus shares are depatched to the seller.The seller has not received the Bonus Shares.Registrar of company says that the shares were returned to them undelivered.Old share certificates are with the registrar.What Do I DO ?

You approach the Registrar with proper Photo ID and seek delivery of them.

You have to get the 'transfer certificate' signed afresh by the Seller and then send the shares for transfer in your name.
Approach the Registrar of Companies and request them to indicate the distinctive number of the bonus shares. After obtaining the particulars, you have to get the share transfer certificate signed by the original seller. Hand over this certificate to the Registrar of Companies - so that even the bonus shares would be given to you by endorsing your name over it.
Immediately thereafter arrange to have the physical shares converted into de-mat shares. This is the very very safest mode to keep the shares.
