I have filed mutual divorce 6 months back and now we have our last hearing this mnth. But he is now giving excuses of postponding this date. He is purposely doing this. If he does not turn up on this day at court then what will be doen from courts side. I really want to finish this at this mnth. Pls help and advice.
Put the other side to notice informing him about the status of the case and next date of hearing. Take his counsel into confidence through communication act diplomatically and achieve your objective.
Best Regards

In the case of mutual divorce as the name suggests both the parties with their free consent need to be present at the time of hearing. If on the date fixed either of the parties fail to attend then the matter would not be heard.Unfortunately in your case first there is no method of intimating the other by any official means if he continues to be absent after 18 months the case would be automatically dismissed.
