Dear Experts,

I'm a non-legal student, focusing on science and policy issues. I came across the term "rejoinder affidavit". I just want to know the exact meaning of the term. what the term implies?

In a civil case plaintiff present his case through plaint then defendant replies through written statement. If there are some new grounds or pleading in written statement, plaintiff need to reply them to clerify the matter. for this purpose rejoinder affidavit is used with subsequent pleadings.

If you have already signed one affidavit, in a case, if the other side party will file a counter affidavit. If you file another affidavit in reply to the counter affidavit that is called rejoinder affidavit.
