Deliberate delays in judgement in cases in high court

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 27 December 2011 This query is : Resolved
I am in litigation in a specific performance suit for a property in Delhi High Court for the last 6 years. The seller deliberately defaulted in execution of sale deed knowing fully well there we (the opposite party) will not be able to get justice for more than a decade which is becoming true finding the progress of the case. During our litigation we have so far spent thousands of rupees in payment of lawyers' fees and other expenses. This kind of slow progress in the court has brought depression in me and my wife. We are now crossing sixty years of age. We do not know who and how one will understand our plight when I have no pension after retirement. The defendants are enjoying the usage of property by earning thousands of rupees in rent and we are left to bear the extreme slowness in progress of our case. I am not sure that whether the judgement will come first or my death? Kindly suggest measures to see the judgement before my death. Kind regards
RKR

Without knowing the actual causes of delay it is difficult to comment.
Since both of you are senior citizens you can pray for early hearing of the case on this ground alone.
However 6 years is too long a time for a case pending in high court.

sorry for u people! may be the case is not persued by the lawyers. you must take interest and persue the case. I agree with barmanji. u can get preference as senior citizans in disposing the case. take prompt steps yourself. best of luck!

yes,try to use the benefit of senior citizen.

delay in justice is serious concern,as if you do not get the justice in time, there is no us.

most of our courts are junkyard of millions of cases.
