if affidavit is in form of examination in chief it has to be tested in cross . untested evidence is no evidence

AFFIDAVIT MUST STAND TEST OF CROSS EXAMINATION.
Without examined Witness, nothing is proved, and Aff hv no value.

WHAT ABOUT CASES WHERE DECISION IS ALLOWED ON SIMPLY EXCHANGE OF AFFIDAVITS?
