Property shares

My parents alive by the grace of Almighty Allah, having a house worth of Rs.10 Lakh, our family members including father, mother, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Please advice the property shares for every individuals as per the Islamic law.

As per Islamic law ur father has absolute rights to deal with the property during his lifetime. He has right to bequeath by will 1/3rd of the property to whomsoever he wants. the rest 2/3rd also he can bequeath by will with the consent of all the sharers under law, i.e, his sons and daughters. If there is no such consent then the property will be shared by the sons and daughters - sons getting two times of the share of the daughters. In ur case all brothers together will get 10/13 and daughters will together get 3/13 share in the property.

According to Mohd., law your father is the absolute owner of the property. During the life time you cannot claim anything.
