Is the Bar Council of India is empowered to compel lawyers at all level to display rate chart in front of their offices and comply ?

NO!LAWYERS'DO NOT RUN COFFEE SHOP.THEY PROFESS LAW.IT MAY GO FREE AS YOU ARE GETTING HERE OR FOR A CHARGE DEPENDING UPON STATUS AND REPUTE OF A LAWYER.

Is "Rate chart" exist??? Did u see it anywhere?? , then talk of Displaying it.
All imaginary Queries, not a personal problem :::
Why create problem when you have none??
Main problem is Time Pass .....it seems.
And why bother us, Why can't you directly ask the Bar Council????????????????????
In expert zone, you will only ask your own legal problem OK....
Otherwise FORAM IS THERE FOR YOUR FULL TIME PASS...GO ON ASKING ANYTHING THERE, NOT HERE... FAIL NOT...

If the experts know from the very name of the querist that the querist is not using but highly abusing and misusing the LCI for his own pleasure of time-pass (what else a retired person can do with such 'kurafati' attitude), then by simply ignoring such queries (without giving any answer whatsoever) would do the tricks! You will be saved lot of time which you lament as being wasted by experts in answering such queries.

life is very serious and tiring such like persons are needed in society.
He has to ask some query or the other. He does not even know that IPC is not the sole law applied n courts. IPC is a criminal statute which is not applied in civil courts and other specific Tribunals. In criminal courts also there are several other laws which are used. It is impossible for each and every lawyer to even list out all statutes (before his completion of degree and death at destitute age) and then write section wise rates and then afford to display and then expect client to read the same and then enter.

YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE ECONOMICS IS SO POOR THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO HAVE SUCH RATE CHARTS FOR THESE PROFESSIONALS FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT THE KIND OF MATTERS THAT THEY GET ARE QUITE VARIED AND COMPLEX AND EACH ONE HAVING ITS OWN TWISTS AND TURNS.
SUCH A RATE CHART WILL NOT COME NEITHER IN YOUR LIFE TIME NOR IN MY LIFE TIME, FOR SURE.

An advocate when engaged or employed as the Prosecutor gets the payment as per the rate chart already fixed. I have seen queue of the lawyers for the post of govt prosecutor. I am sure Bar Council of India can insist on a mutually agreeable rate chart. It is equally applicable to doctors, Chartered accountants etc etc. In fact Supreme Court of NRI sorry India has directed the Private hospitals to display rate chart chart for each and every services they wish to provide to the patients. Lawyers club of India well ahead of others in modern thinking can come out with some such unique 'Game Changer" for the society.

At Kapur Advocates agitated against a judgement of the judicial magistrate. At Saket Lawyers took decision not to engage anyone to defend the Delhi Gang Rape accused. In past lawyers have been proactive fighting the social issues.
I am sure some of the members of this social site are engaged in various social activities..
