Khata not given by owner

Hi,I bought a land in bangalore and made registration last month.Actually it was agricultural land which is now possesing khata B type khata.The owner telling that as it comes under green belt,the issue of khata is temporarly close.Is he saying right or is any thing wrong?Please experts reply,experts from karnataka region who have better undertsanding of the laws in karnataka can reply....also I want to know what is the importance of khata...

You better visit the local Land Revenue Department ans ask for the document. They would guide you properly on this issue.

Why is the query after buying is complete.
You have not acted diligently,a duty law imposed upon you.You can not plead a bonafide purchase for value.

@ prabhakar: this query i posted after doing registration..why a duty law imposed upon me?I have bought 2200 sq ft of land in two parts...first 1200 sq ft 2 yrs back for which I got all documents and second 1000 sq ft beside that plot only....so its is legal that I know but I only worried about khata for the second plot...The owner told us that it is temporaraly close and will give once khata issueing will starts...

@prabhakar....there is nothing like what you are telling in your comment.I just told you what I had done before purchasing the plot..Ok...If you don't want to give answer of my query,no problem....But before replying see the content and you too behave yourself....when I am not telling anything who are you to tell me like this( how you address your father?)...I was having doubt so I wrote query.....I have all rights to ask the doubt...was there any bad word or anything.....and one thing...I respect my father that kuch,that you even can't imagine.......good bye...
