If the divorce suit is filed by husband and you did not consent to passing the decree then unless he proves his allegations, he can not get the divorce decree.

Try to have patch up. if not possible, Oppose the divorce case from your husband, appeal for revision of maintenance, gather proof of his income, Ask for residence at matrimonial house, file dowry and DV cases to bring him on negotiation table.

Unless the husband can prove the allegations, the court can not grant divorce.
What do you want? Divorce or not?

Divorce case is such a time taking proceedings that the agrieved party can prolong it for an indefinite period. You may follow that tactics.

I agree with the experts opinion to your case. In addition, closely watch the case through your advocate and strongly challenge all his moves, plus, you may file an execution petition for realizing the arrears of maintenance amount. You may note that even in the absence of a provision in the Hindu Marriage Act for striking off the defence in case your husband willfully refuses to comply with the court order, the court with its inherent power can pass such orders which are necessary for the ends of justice or to prevent the abuse of the process of court.
