Forensic Dept is a Govt Dept connected to Police.Court if it desires it would send it to them directly and you need not be involved in it unless any Fee to be Paid.Consult your Advocate.

A forged Will case is pending in court. The original writing sample has to be matched with the forged document. My advocate is suggesting private experts who are quoting huge amount of money to be paid to them because they have to testfy in court. I need someone who is authentic and approved by the court. How do I identify them. Do they have some kind of certificate given by the court which I can see. Please inform.

You can negotiate with another Handwriting expert either working at the same court or nearby other court.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 03 February 2015
The court will not have panel of such experts or a list of approved experts on the subject. The duty of the court is to examine the experts who have given their opinion on the subject referred to them. Or, if you apply for experts' opinion, the court may through an advocate commissioner, refer the matter to the government forensic department for an opinion by its experts.

Do you want to get the document examined? If yes, submit an application to the court concerned for the same, alternatively engage a private handwriting expert at your cost. If you oppose for getting the document vetted, keep mum i.e., wait and watch for the action being taken by opposite party and proceed as advised by your lawyer, he is the best person to guide you.
