Birth certificate of my son

Dear Sir,
My son was born in Chiplun Maharashtra and we got a birth certificate issued from the concerned municipality. Now the issue is the birth certificate is issued with only the Child's first name. We live in Kerala and this birth certificate is not accepted in Kerala as they need it with full name. It seems all the document related to child will be updated with his first name only and not full name.
How can we change the name in the birth certificate to childs full name, also the mothers name also should be changed to her maiden name. Please help us with the procedures to be followed.

Yes there is provision for change or amendment of name of the child in the Municipal corporation records for which application and affidavit for the amendment has to be made by parent of the child, contact Municipal corporation office where the birth record of child registered and maintained.

It is matter of procedure and you have to contact Municipality which issued certificate. They may be having a similar provision as this is a routine case for them.
