Society - Election of a Managing Committee

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 22 August 2010 This query is : Resolved

Dear Sir,

Oue society in Mumbai is registered in 1992 under the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act 1960. We have adopted a new Bye-Laws in 2001. There is a Election of new Managing Committee in the Society. I would like to know the eligibility for a Members to vote. Is it necessary for the Members that he/she has been admitted as a Members of the Society 2 years prior to the date of Election?

Thanks.

As per my knowledge all existing and qualified members have the right. For more clarification go through the Act.
