where I can get a copy of DOT circular directing cellular operators to get id proof and address proof from their customers ?
Recently vodafone asking me again to submit such documents although I have submitted the documents in April, 2010 and in reply they have sent me via SMS a registration number.
Does the circular says to submit such documents twice in a year ? Pls. explain

Try to obtain the information from DoT through an application under RTI Act.

Yes the Cellular service providing company can ask the proof of Id from their customers whenever they feel necessary.

Mr Ahmed have the Cellular service providing companies been empowered by the DOT Circular to ask anytime whenever they feel like even twice a year ?
