Bigamy can be compoundable at any stage?

Dear Sirs,can bigamy be compoundable at any stage?after conviction also is it possible to compound?because they are demanding more money? I am contesting the case.

Yes. An offence punishable under section 494 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 is compoundable with the permission of the Court by the spouse of the accused person.

If an appeal against conviction is pending, the offence may be compounded by the appellate court.
