Cash Loan

I had reced. a loan of Rupees 200000 (Two Lacs) by cheque One & Half years ago from one of my frnd, after thats i had paid this money in cash in five to six installments.

till now i dont have any sufficient proof in written thts i had paid to him, now he told me thts he can give me the recept in a plane paper not in a stamp paper.

is this a sufficient proof for me thts i releived from my liability.

The receipt can be on a plain paper but affix revenue stamp to it to acknowlege receipt of the debt by the lender.
