Respected experts,

In one section of our State Education Act it appeared that
"ENQUIRY AND PROCEEDINGS:-All proceedings or enquiries before the tribunal shall be deemed to be judicial proceedings within the meaning of sections 193,219 and 288 of the Indian Panel Code,(1860Central Act of45 of 1860)."

-is this o.k.??
-My idea is that insist of 288 it should be 228 of IPC or something else.-is am right???

I think it should have been Section 228 instead of S. 288 of IPC.

Section 228 of the IPC deals with the "Intentional insult or interruption to public servant sitting in judicial proceeding".

On the other hand, Section 288 of the IPC deals with the "Negligent conduct with respect to pulling down or repairing buildings."

Naturally, the mention of Sec.288 seems to be wrong in connection with the enquiry and proceedings in respect of Public servant in judicial proceeding.

Accordingly, the State Education Act needs to be amended appropriately.
