IT IS A CRIMINAL CASE. THE COMPLAINANT WILL APPEAR ONLY WHEN REQUIRED FOR GIVING EVIDENCE. YOU CANNOT COMPEL HER TO PRESENT ON ALL HEARINGS.

so what in civil cases whether the same above will apply.

yes in civil cases plaintiff need to appear only at evidence stage. rest of the things his advocate can handle.

In civil cases Plaintiff need not to appear in court on each and every day hearings.He has to appear only in court at the time of his evidence or when his presence is required by the court.

In criminal case the complainant has to appear for every proceedings, if he does not appear, absent petition has to be filed.
