A "probation period" is a period of service used for employee train ing, adjustment, and evaluation, which is served upon initial appointment to a class and in other instances as specified in Civil Service Rules.
The probation period is an extension of the selection process, where the appointing authority has an opportunity to evaluate the employee's knowledges, abilities, and skills to perform the work of the class in an on-the-job capacity.
All employees appointed to a regular or limited term position in the classified service must serve a probationary period if appointed to any class in which they had not previously held permanent status. A probationary period must also be served upon.
Hence till completion of probation period you are neither 1 )permanent employee nor2) temporary employee and you are not even 3) quasi employee(a term coined by you)BUT YOU ARE an employee on probation.

Temporary employees will have a specific period of employment or the appointment order will say that they are temporary.
Probation, is the period for the permanent employee.
On completion of the probation they will be confirmed.
So, the probationer is a permanent employee but not confirmed.

Except the Group-A Officers who are appointed through UPSC or Provincial Civil Service Examination, all other appointments in the Government are to start with only Temporary.
Even when an employee is appointed to any post on temporary basis, there are cases where probation is prescribed.
Your case falls into that category.
Thus, you are a temporary employee under probation.
After successful completion of the probation you will continue to work as a temporary employee.
The system of making an employee permanent after three years depending upon the availability of the permanent vacancy etc., has been abolished.
Every temporary employee will be treated as a permanent employee after a period of 3 years.
