Dear Sir,
I am selected for the post of Office Assistance (Multi Purpose). Presently, I am serving in IAF about to discharge from service by 31st Oct 2011, employed in PB-II with GP-4200 on pay scale of 9300-34100. Sir, My present pay scale is 9300-34100 and the offered pay scale by the bank is 7200-19300.This bank is sponsored by Punjab National Bank.I wish to know following;
(i)Whether I would be provided with pay protection as per Govt of India rules for Ex-servicemen?
(ii)What are the latest rules for granting pay protection to Ex-servicemen in another Govt/Bank/PSU's jobs?

The question arises, whether the Gramin Bank is a Government owned PSU or a Private bank?

Further, whether the present pay scale is the same or identical of the scale of pay on your previous post or more?

gramin banks are govt owned psus.

the question of protecting the previous pay arises only,if it is more than the present one Dhingraji.

Dear Mahendra Kumar,

Naturally the question of the querist would have arisen only when he would have been getting more pay than the pay on the post for which he has been selected. But he has not so far replied to the 2nd part of my query, which also intends to ask whether the previous scale is same, identical or MORE than that offered for new post.

I think,no pay protection can be granted,since the statutory bodies are different,in the case.

If one is not interested in less pay,need to continue with the same job i.e. one argument against you.

The other Gramin Banks are not scheduled banks of the Govt. Undertakings.These are promoted by local authorities.
mahendrakumar (Expert) 12 September 2011
gramin banks are promoted by scheduled banks of govt.

as such they could be treated by psus owned by the govt.

the querist should provide further details requested by Mr.dhingraji to answer further details if needed.
