M.Sheik Mohammed Ali (Expert) 27 October 2011
if you are agreed to working and getting salary or you hubbys proved you are working then you will not get maintenance.
Sankaranarayanan (Expert) 27 October 2011
yes if you have sufficient earning then no need of pay the maintenance by him
Arun Kumar Bhagat (Expert) 27 October 2011
How much you earn ? and How much he earns ? If there is huge difference then you can claim maintenance for maintaining the same standard which your husband enjoys.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 27 October 2011
Absolutely right.
Unless there is much disparity between the salaries of your , you may not be granted any maintenance.
Income is not always a restraint in getting the maintenance.
It is the difference of status between the spouses which makes the determining factor.
ajay sethi (Expert) 27 October 2011
agree with experts that you cnannot claim maintenance unless their is disparity in salaries .
Shonee Kapoor (Expert) 27 October 2011
Shall I ask for maintenance?
IF THE SALARY IS SUFFICIENT AND THE DIFFIRENTIAL IS NEGLIGIBLE YOU SHOULD NOT.

Can I ask for maintenance?
YES, YOU CAN, WHETHER THE SAME WOULD BE GRANTED OR NOT WOULD DEPEND ON MANY FACTORS.

It looks me comfortable to answer you in Mr. Sonee Kapoor's way.

you can file a claim of maintenance, nobody can stop you;but the claim would be awarded only when court finds that your salary is too little and inadequate compared to earnings of your "HUBBY"[husband i mean]
and finds you unable to maintain yourself with in that meager salary.
