Dear Mr. Ravinder Pal,
Everyone thinks that just because the property belonged to the grand father, the property is 'ancestral' and therefore the grand son will have a right to a share in it.
But before one can come to the conclusion that the property is 'ancestral' one has to examine the facts.
Please indicate the following information so that it can be determined whether the property is really 'ancestral' as claimed by you or not.
1. How did your grand father acquire the said property (whether it was self-acquired or received by him from his father / grand dather)
2. When did your grand father die?
3. You say that your grand father transferred the property in thename of your father and your grand mother. Did he execute any GIFT Deed or any other document?
4. Whether your father is the only son to your grand father?
5. Who all shared the money from the sale of the property?
