Whether a Payable at Par (PAP)Cheque can be crossed by the drawaer in such a way to be payable at a particular place, e.g."payable at Mumbai only"?
Whether a Bank which receives such cheque for payment can return the cheque on the above ground that PAP cheque has been crossed "payable at Mumbai only"?

What reason the cheque had been dishonor or rejected or returned.

it would be at bank discretion . the cheque leaf specifically mentions payable at par . if account holder has modified the conditions of issue of cheque bank can refuse to honour it .

Moreover when cheque was issued why did not you refuse to accept such endorsement. Moreover the cheque should be sent for collection at mumbai by your banker instead of collecting locally.

except the drawyer, you cannot make any amendment to the "payable at par cheque"
