My friend and her wife both not living together for last 1 nd half year nd no communication together. now he want divorce to her, how can he takes divorce to his wife.can a man take divorce to his wife.

Hindu /Muslim or some other?????
If MUSLIM/then Shiya or Sunni???
Under what law they are married???
A friend can be any one.

if hindu, wait for completion of 2 years and file Divorce u/s 13 desertion + cruelty

In case of Hindu spouse your friend can file a divorce suit on mutual consent with his wife,failing which your friend can file a Divorce suit on contest after separation from two years for desertion ground.

whether wife is agreebale for divorce ? if so do it by mutual consent .

if she is not agreeable then you have alengthy battle ahead .

since your friend ahs waited for 18 months he ca wait for another 6 months and file for divorce

Then try for Mutual Consented Divorce.
