Police complaint - use of third degree

Hi experts, I thank you for your guidance to my query dated 13 Oct 2012.
Recently, I have been threatened by a sardar property dealer, whose cell number I found in my wife's mobile with several calls and missed calls, that a police complaint is being filed against me.
In this complaint the IO will not allow me to speak even a single word but only beat me on verifying the burn marks on my arm which my wife is going to stress in her complaint and he will probe that it might be the name of any of my beloved.
The truth is that the my wife herself gave these marks stating around 13-14 years back as a mark of love stating she is my worship and pooja and want to put the initial on my arm.
she has started sharing all the secrets with this person and one of my office colleagues who is also a union leader of rival union.
I want to know whether this kind of handling is possible nowadays?
What should be my course of action?

contact a local lawyer . if police dont register your complaint write to Supdt of police /Commissioner of police .

Please also advice if I should initiate or
wait for the complaint to be filed as I have been advised to respond to the complaint rather than initiating.

as advised contact a local lawyer he will give you a pateient hearing . then decide your couse of action . no harm in intiating complaint

Respected Prabhakar ji & Sudhir Kumar ji, let me submit very honestly that I am new to this web sidet and was not aware of the rule and so I submit my sincere apologies if I have intentionally or unintentionally wasted any of the learned experts time and energy.
I really appreciate your guidance.
You might not realise what I have been going through - sleepless nights at home, tense environment at work place, threats of defamation and third degree hang over my head.

If you are having sleep less nits, tense office, If you have threats in office by union leader then what do you expect this forum to do.
This forum can do nothing accept giving you free advise which you have already got.
You are not complaining before any appropriate authority in writing.
Since this is free advise you are not following it. Better go to some lawyer's office and pay him bunch of currency notes and get the same advise and then you will act.
Or alternatively keep blogging on this free site. Mr Prabhakar Singh has already said that "Getting fool or making either way loss is your's,not of experts"

For experts only,
on his other threads, I have already told him to report to the Addl CP (Vigilance) if some person Paliwal is boasting of contact with XYZ policeman and threatening his physical torture. He never said how said Paliwal is connected with his wife.
He has been advised to submit written complaint against rm Paliwal to the department and if authorities take no actin them they are also central govt employees and liable for complaint to CVC.
