Misappropriation of funds by apartments welfare association

I am a tenant of Apartment in hyderabad. I have a tenancy agreement form past 4 months. My apartment association is looking after the maintainence. they collect 1500 per month for maiantainace including water tankers payment. But they are not maintaining the accounts properly in a book and when I asked them to show the accounts, they rejected to show the account books and association bye laws. They dont even conduct association meetings regularly and do not maintain any records.

So as a tenant what are my rights to ask them for the records and accounts and what is the format to give a legal notice to them.
One more important point is the secratary of the association is a private employee and is flying to US within a week for a period of 3 years for job purposes. He has unaccounted association amounts with him and just manuallay handed over the maiantannece to another member of the executive council and there is no proper procedure followed. Members are not even given notice of the transfer and no one knows what about the moeny and accounts. How to get the account from him before he leaves the country or can we stop him if he fails to show the accounts.

you are a mere tenant . owner of apartment can ask for accounts .audited accounts have to be circulated to all members .

As a tenant, you don't have any right to interfere in the activities of the appartments association. Only members of the association can verify the accounts of the association. Your dealings are concerned only with the owner of the appartment. So, you can ask for proper maintenance through the owner.

I have also the similar opinion. If you want any action as desired by you, prepare the members of the association to raise their voice.
