Sir,
I have filled an eviction suit with police protection against my tenant to vacate my premises. He is not vacating even after providing him sufficient time of 4 months. The case is pending in magistrate court trichy, chennai. Can I file a petition in High court telling the reason that I want my house for self occupation and I don't have any other property in the place and request to issue a direction to finish the case within a short period of time eg. 1 year?

You are advised to get the speedy disposal of your pending petition before the Rent Controller instead of approaching High court and get the desired relief accordingly.

u cannot file any petition in HC till the case is pending in MC.
