My friends mother executed a settlement deed to her only daughter in 2006 in Chennai , mother passed away 3 months back,she also got the legal heir certificate from thasildhar, when my friend read the settlement she found that the ground measurement was different from the mother document by mistake.Now what she has to do for rectifying the mistake,since her mother passed away.please help since she is very much depressed .

The mistake is not a hindrance to mutate the property in your name.
The there is no mistake as regards identity then Tehsilar would make this, else WRIT would be the only option.

Sir ,it is wrongly mentioned in the settlement deed, she can proceed for name change or should rectify the problem? mother document has different ground measurement ! if she should rectify , how to rectify, since her mother passed away !

file application in office of tehsildar to mention correct measurements in revenue records and give certified copy of same to you.

Sir it is the mistake of the lawyer how has done the settlement deed, can she proceed with the settlement because some are saying to do declaration the settlement in register office . please tell me the correct way. it's not the mistake of thasildhar .now she has to go to corporation and apply for name change, she can continue or not ?
