One third maintenance

By reading many threads of this forum that maintenance given to wife is given 20 to 30% of Husband Salary.
Is this maintenance 20-30% calculation after all liabilites (rent,medical bills etc) or just on gross in Hand salary.

There is no yard stick of 20 to 30% regarding maintenance.Court may grant maintenance what court think appropriate, there is no upper limit cap.

Can court give less than 20% of gross salary?

It will be more than 30% of the salary, depends up on the circumstances.

There is no rule for maintenance. In many cases it is granted more than 30% and it depends upon the facts, circumstances, standard of living of husband, husband's income from all sources, husband's liabilities and on various aspects.
