2. How one establishment is determined that its employees are entitled to directorate scale or district scale.

An establishment of the joint Legal Remembrencer of the State Judicial department, whether the employees will get the district scale or directorate scale of pay. Kindly note that in that particular State there are three category of pay scale 1. Secretariat scale 2. Directorate scale and 3. District scale.

My main question is how the status of an establishment is determined whether it can be termed in the directorate status or otherwise, and the entitlement of pay scale to the employees in the above three category.

Dear Surjit,

The question arises, whether the Joint Legal Rememberance falls within the jurisdiction of the Ministry, or some department HQ or come within the jurisdiction of a district of the state.

Since you are serving in the Monistry/ secretariat under the Advocate General of the state, your pay would have been regulated under the secretariate scale. Similarly, staff working in the directorate of a department would get their pay regulated by the directorate scales. Pay of those working in the Districts of the state would be regulated under the District scales.
