i want to ask few Queries .
1} my friend divorce case is going since 5 yrs . and court has given order for maintenance of 2000, but she received this amount for 6 months only, after it was stoped. can she claim the whole arrears of the maintenance
2) Her husband dosent have any property ,can she calim for house .(presently she is staying with her parents )
3) Any laywer from mumbai who can help in this matter plz drop ur number or your mail id

Dear Amit
she can claim maintenance arrears from her husband by filing a execution petition u/s 125 (3) of Cr.PC only for one year.
she can file a civil suit against him before civil court for recovery of money.

As the case is already going on so your friend must have already engaged her lawyer. As she is visiting the court since last 5 years so she might be having known about many famous lawyers during that period so if she wants to change her lawyer, let her do as per her own knowledge.
If her husband has not provided the amount of maintenance awarded in her favour under section 24 of HMA then she can get closed the evidence of her husband and thus can get the decree of divorce accordingly. The defence of her husband can be got closed.
