Mistake in current living address in index 2 document

Guest (Querist) 20 August 2013 This query is : Resolved
Hello Sir,
I have recently purchased flat in Navi Mumbai.I took a loan from bank and submitted original sale agreement to bank.

While doing registration 'Registration office staff' had made mistake in my 'Current living Address' in 'Index 2' document while the address in sale agreement is correct.
In Address 'State Name and PIN Code' is wrongly written.
Also the same mistake is present on the page where they take photo and finger prints.

Would I get any issues in future due to this?
What is the procedure to correct it ?
Is it necessary for builder to be present for correction ?
Will it get corrected as I have submitted my Original Agreement including index 2 document in Bank?

Thanks a Lot !

You have to file and obtain a rectification deed.
1. Can not say right now, but better to correct the error.
2. Builder's presence is also required as he is the party to the original deed.
3. How the mistake took place? If the error is on the part of the staff of Registrar's Office you can as well bring this fact before the Registrar and ask for rectification deed.

Thank a lot for your reply !
Since my Original Agreement with Index 2 document is with bank , Will it get corrected ?

You will have to ask bank for that. However
rectification deed would be written separately in nature of a corrigendum with reference to original.
