Sale deed for joint ownership

(Querist) 06 September 2013 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir, Four months ago I made an agreement with a seller to buy a plot. The agreement was duly registered and mentioned only my name as the buyer. Now, after paying the entire cost of the plot, I want a sale deed to be executed. Can I include my sisters name also along with my name as buyers in the sale deed or registry. Or, should I first get a new agreement registered that mentions both me and my sister as buyers and then get the sale deed executed.

YOU CAN DO .THERE IS NO NEED TO GO FOR ANY OTHER REGISTERED AGREEMENT.YOU AND YOUR SISTER WOULD JOINTLY SIGN AS BUYER WITH REFERENCE TO AGREEMENT WITH A RECTAL IN THE SALE DEED YOU AGREE WITH SELLER TO JOIN YOUR SISTER ALSO AS BUYER WITH NO DEFAULT OR CLAIM IN THAT REGARD.

You can join your sister with you. Ask the seller whether he has got any objection or not?
malipeddi jaggarao (Expert) 09 September 2013
The seller also should not have any objection if you include a clause in the sale deed that earlier you singly entered into sale agreement and now on your own volition wish include your sisters name. This will protect his interest also.
