how to file a defamation law suit.
can i ask for punitive damages from the respondent for false allegations and criminal intimidation.

Engage a local lawyer who shall issue legal notice to the respondent prior to initiation of civil as well as criminal defamation proceeding.

Yes! you can file civil slander and libel tort claims and seek damages as well in a civil court as well as criminal cases of criminal defamation, intimidation and compensation etc in a Criminal court etc and pursue them simultaneously,.
