Surety amount

(Querist) 06 November 2013 This query is : Resolved 
i am representing my client under section 205 of Cr.p.c.case is acquitted
whether i can get back the surety amount in the absence of my client ? my client is in U.S and unable to come.
please tell me any settled law about it

file an application before court & get the surety amount, the court may direct the personal appearance of surety.

Generally such payment is made to the accused concerned but you may try as desired.
