Dear experts, i am a.nominee of my father's flat after his death. society certificate transferred in my name. But buyers not willing to buy saying property documents are not in my name. I am only son. No mother. Pl. Guide

merely being a nominee would not confer title of the property on you.

get a succession certificate and accordingly proceed with the transfer of property to your name.

visit some local lawyer for detailed procedure.

sri kiran kumar is right. mere nomination does not complete the full cycle of property ownership.

take succession cert. from court and society's transfer of ownership.go to regn. office along with original property documents for transfer in your name.

after mutation of property in your name,take an EC showing your name in regn office records.
Also ensure that the property tax receipts,electricity and water bills are issued in your name.
now u r absolute owner and can sell property if u wish .no more hassles.
