Power theft

It is legal to inspect an area in night for power theft cases...if i am working for XYZ...XYZ has given his project to some outsource company....once i get surrounded by the local people of that area and i have no protection.....because they r using illegal power and my responsibility is to ensure the cases of illegal activities in night ....so it is legal or not whether i can visit that area or not in night..and what is dcp dossier....please help...

You should have proper authority and protection while inspecting with powers to take steps in case of theft case.

Without all these you may endanger yourself.
