Rights of son on his mother's property

Dear experts ,
My son is dead now leaving behind 3 sons and 1 daughter . Can we inherit the property of my mother's paternal property? The property is her ancestral property.
Please comment.

It is believed that you are Hindu.

As per Hindu Succession Laws:

If the women has acquired any property from his Father or Mother, in that case the first right will be of the heirs of her father and not husband, in case of absence of his sons or daughters

The share can be acquired.

You have not stated whether your mother is still alive or not and also what is the link of your son's death with the property of your mother's father. However, if your mother is alive, she can claim 1/4th of the property of her father.

I agree to the opinion expressed by Mr. Kumar Doab. Thus the 3 sons and one daughter can inherit the property left behind by their mother but not her husband because it was the property inherited by the mother from her paternal side.
