If someone give wrong compliant in police station, based on these police also came to know that compliant is fake & fabricated to take revenge on person , by knowing also inspector in charge of some other area was sanded two constables to house to bring the person to police station.
The person was refused to come to police station stating that we had not done any wrong thing or crime,Then inspectors came to house and threaten to take seviour action, and asked why you don’t come to police station, when I was called you.
After that person gon to police station and case was compromised and inspector taken some bribe amount.
In this case I want to know legally, whether we had to go to police station when ever police ask to come to police station for not doing any crime, what is the actual procedure.

If the police summoned for inquiry then nothing wrong. every one can co-operate with them.If any point of harassment then you can approach the human right commission against the police officer who harass you

Police can summon any person for inquiry, if such enquiry is warranted to complete their investigation.
It doesn't mean that the Investigation officer can orally ask or compel any person to attend the police station by misusing his power. On the other hand, he has to issue summons to the concerned person by giving required details as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code. Otherwise, legal proceedings can be initiated.
However, if the Investigating agency/officer primafacie satisfied himself from his preliminary investigation that the offence has been committed by an accused, he can arrest him.
Note that it is the duty of every citizen to co-operate and assist the Govt. official to discharge their legal duties.

Police is not a ghost rather a law enforcement agency working under the constitution of India. Every citizen is bound to cooperate with the police. Police has power to enquire any matter brought to its notice whether the same is false or true.
