Hi,
I have been working with an MNC from last ten months. There is a notice period of 60 days. I would like to know :
1. Will I be forced legally to pay the amount If I abscond after resignation acceptance? 2. Is there any way to avoid the notice period without paying an amount?
3. Is there any specific reason or situation, where the notice period can be waived?
Thank you.

1. Yes if you do not serve notice you may be legally forced to make the payment.
2. No unless there is any escape route in the job contract itself.
3. Yes if the situation is beyond your control like physical incapacity or personal loss.

1) you are bound by terms of contact . if you have agreed to give 60 days notice period then in the event of your resignation company would insist you serve the notice period .
2)you would need relieving letter from organisation . hence better serve the notice period . you cant avoid it unless company waives notice period

You are bound to abide by the service conditions / appointment conditions. If you have signed notice period clause, company can recover it from you.

Honour your agreement. If chose to abscond, you will not get the relieving letter or experience certificate.
If this news comes to your future employer he may not like it. Your career will get spoiled.

The employer can waive off the notice period/pay by its sweet will.
