Laminated

(Querist) 08 January 2015 This query is : Resolved
I would like to laminate by very old property papers as it is being torn & Fard with passing of time. I would like to know if it is legal laminating registered property documents for safety & practically if need arises if the same is valid for home loan or presenting before govt department or in court of law.

Please do not laminate. That will create problem. However, try to preserve it appropriately, by not handling it frequently. You can have a photocopy, if you so need, for frequent reference / verification, thereby you can minimise handling the original.
