Bombay public trust act in karnataka

(Querist) 15 June 2015 This query is : Resolved
We have a Cultural(non-religious) Trust Registered Under Bombay Public Trust Act in Karnataka from last 20 years, but that act has been quashed in Karnataka in 2014, in Maharashtar it is applicable as Maharashtar Public Trust act, now i need to know which act is now applicable for trust registered under Bombay Public Trust(BPT) act in Karnataka.
1) I enquired at the local Registrar's office and they said that we establish a new trust Under Indian trust act and mention in the preamble that we had formed trust under BPT act, Now i need to know how much this is correct? we are also applying for 80G benefits and FCRA but they need minimum 3 years of working before a new registration can apply.
2) If we make a new registration will we not loose these many years of existence?
Please give us some guidance.
Thank You

@Abhishek,
So many academic queries in a single day?

@ P.Venu, Sir karnataka was not a Unified state, it was unified after 1970, before that it was divided as Bombay Karnataka, Hydrabad karnataka, Madras Karnataka and Mysore Karnataka, Each region had different laws, Our city was in Bombay Karnataka region and hence Trust came under Bombay Karnataka, so BPT act was applicable, after Unification of Karnataka these laws still existed in 2014 a circular was passed that such laws will not be applicable in part of Karnataka.
The bigger problem is there is no separate law of Karnataka to govern the trust, like Maharashtra now has Maharashtra Public Trust Act, so i need to know which act is applicable for our trust in Karnataka?
The local Registrar has adviced to newly register under Indian trust act and mention in the preamble that it was registered under BPT act and has been in existence since last 20 years. I need to know if we make New registration will we loose these many years of Service in the field and do we need to wait 3 years to get 80G benefits and FCRA?
