This query is : Resolved
My wife alleges that I have hit her and thrown her out of the house but has no proof apart from my admissions. I have proof of several instances of her cruelty like denial of sex, beating me, talking about our sex life with other men etc. Will the court dismiss the decree of divorce seeing that both parties are guilty. I do not want divorce. I want reconciliation.

In maths two negatives make one positive but not in court.
cruelty against you is just another ground for divorce.
cruelty by you is covered under DV Act.

Court consider the matter before it on merit.
Whether she has filed case under DV act.

Yes Sir. She has moved the court for a decree of dissolution of marriage.

What is the ground for dissolution of marriage? What is the opinion and advise of your lawyer, if engaged? You have no alternative but to contest.
