My mother 90 yrs widow lives alone in Mumbai. I visit her every fortnight fron Nashik.
The parking charges levied by society is free for family members for 5 days.
Sometimes i gave to stay for longer periods when she is ill.
The Secretary bills her Rs.50 per day for additional days.
Normally members pay 250/- pm.
I being her only daughter who takes care of her, has she to pay such exhorbitant parking charges.
Please let me knoe.

Does your mother own a vehicle? Are there allotted parkings?

Madam,
Collection of parking charges depends on the resolutions passed at the AGM, nobody can claim exemption.
However you may put your matter before the managing committee and request them to consider you case, further you can also request them to put your matter before the next AGM for concession.

Is there any resolution passed by AGM with respect to charging of parking the vehicle(s) of relatives? If so, it is invalid/ illegal, obtain a certified copy and challenge it before RCS after filing an objection with the society management.
