Addition of subcaste

am new to the forum .I am a graduate and would like to appear for civil services .My caste is mentioned in the TC is lingayath. But , my sub caste is ganigar and there is no solid document proof to justify that. There is OBC reservation provided to my subcaste and not for caste . please suggest me whether it is possible for me to get subcaste certificate without any document proof

You have to approach the District or Tehsil Revenue office with an application to include your sub-caste and issue a community certificate for which you can procure the substantial documentary evidences through your community or some other reliable sources. You may get the relief.

Suppose I will not get the approval from tehsil , is is there an option to approach court for the same . Is it possible to provide any details of similar case resolved earlier
